Wagner College to host a conference on African business issues, April 7 & 8
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — On Thursday and Friday, April 7 and 8, Wagner College will host the Conference on Current Business Issues in African Countries. The CBIAC Conference will gather business and NGO leaders, researchers and students from African countries, from Wagner College, and from the local New York City community.
Participants will discuss some of the most pressing issues affecting businesses in African countries. The issues discussed will revolve around the reciprocal impacts of businesses, governments and society.
The impetus of the CBIAC Conference is the discussions held at the United Nations Conferences on Trade and Development in Nairobi (July 2016) and Barbados (October 2021). The CBIAC Conference will include five tracks: supply chain, climate change, Covid-19, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development.
The program will include 26 presentations by more than 30 presenters from 15 countries. More than 170 people from 40 countries are expected to attend.
